Privacy Notice
QuietBrowse, trading as Quiet Browse. Last updated 22 September 2026.
What we store
The extension stores settings, paused sites, theme and a daily counter locally in your browser. This is not sent to us as browsing history and is not used for advertising analytics.
When you activate Pro, the extension sends an activation key and random device identifier to the licensing Worker. The Worker stores one-way hashes, licence status, expiry, subscription reference and renewal state. It does not need the contents of pages you visit.
Billing and providers
Stripe processes checkout, cards, invoices, subscriptions and the customer portal. We receive limited identifiers needed for licensing, such as email, customer ID, subscription ID, plan and payment status. Cloudflare hosts the licensing Worker and database. We do not store full card numbers.
Retention and rights
Licence and billing records are retained for support, fraud prevention and legal or accounting requirements. You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection where applicable by emailing quietbrowse@proton.me. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Security
Do not send card numbers, passwords or activation codes to support. We use access controls, hashing and provider security measures, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
